About Our Contests
The contestants' details are as follows:
- The age ranges are from 6 – 106.
- The top 3 Karaoke performers will recieve a Karaoke Grand, Champion, 2nd & 3rd place trophie. The trophies will be awared at the end the event.
- The winners will be determined by audience applause.
- Each contestants will perform one song.
- The songs can come from any genre of music except for gangster rap, heavy metal, or songs with profanity in their lyrics.
- The contestants must request songs from the Karaoke DJ.
- We will allow the first 10- 15 to perform.
- This is an open mike event. Anyone in the audieance can perform.
- Applicants from any state are welcome.
The next "Dr Peggy's Karaoke for the Cure" event will take place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Saturday October 5th 2024 5:30 p.m-7: p.m. in Portage, Indiana. The event will be held at Portage High School. The school is located at 6450 US-6 Portage, IN 46368. We are seeking business and individual sponsors for this event. Your support of this charity event is greatly appreciated. This our 3rd annual vent!

Dr. Peggy's Karaoke for the Cure-Portage October 5, 2024 5:30-8p.m. This event is sponsored by Portage NorthShore Health Center 3k Walk for the Cause 7:30 a.m.-11a.m.
This is an opportunity to come out, have fun, and support a great cause- donating wigs, scarfs and chemo bundles to breast cancer patients and survivors. No donations are required at Dr. Peggy's Karaoke for the Cure for lap babies. All children up to the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Our events are smoke free. Vendors, food and beverages will be provided during the 15 minute intermission at the Karake event. Dr. Peggy Winston-Pritchett's book,"My Breast Cancer Story: The Anatomy of Tears" will be available for sale at this event.
A professional will be on hand to provide information related to the incidence ratings of breast cancer, mammography and the importance of early detection. There will be an opening act. The event may be broadcast live on one of the streaming platforms. Security will be provided to ensure safety.
Guests 18 years and older donate $25 ($15 for Children 4 -17 years old) in advance using our cash app $Karaoke4theCure, Zelle, our through paypal on the website. PHS small auditorium has 400 seat capacity.
